The Dewberry School of Music of George Mason University, one of the most diverse institutions in American higher education, seeks a dynamic Assistant or Associate Professor to serve as Director of Concert Bands, starting August 2022. Responsibilities:
Duties include conducting the Mason Wind Symphony and Mason Symphonic Band/Chamber Winds and recruitment activities. Additionally, responsibilities include advising and teaching graduate level wind band conducting students and/or related academic classes. The successful candidate will mentor future music educators, performers, and conductors and engage fully in the academic and artistic life of the Dewberry School, the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA), the University, and the community.
