The winners of the Arkansas, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Tulsa Districts of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition will compete in St. Louis at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025, for prize money and the chance to sing in the National Semifinals in New York City on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera. Come see tomorrow's opera starts as they begin their careers!
This event is free and open to the public
Singers who compete will have already won a Laffont District Competition
Judges will be Brian Speck, Artistic Administrator, Metropolitan Opera; Robert Boldin, Director of Artistic Operations, Pittsburgh Opera; and Lisa Hasson, Chorus Director and Apprentice Artist Program Director, Des Moines Opera.
