The Nebraska District is part of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition; district winners proceed to the Upper Midwest Regional competition.
Singers who want to participate in NEXT season 2025/2026 will need to record an audition video sometime after January 1, 2025, and submit it to the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition during the month of July 2025!
Details will be available later this spring on the competition website: https://www.metopera.org/about/auditions/competition/ but you can start thinking about your aria selection and recording NOW!

Current Covid-19 Requirements:
All singers, accompanists, judges and volunteers must be vaccinated.
As of January 2023, there is no indoor mask mandate in effect in Lancaster County, where Lincoln is located. But we will be following any Covid-19 regulations in place at the time of our District Audition.
