Annual vocal competition for young opera singers between the ages of 20-30
Singers who advance to the District Round after the Qualifying Round will receive a notification regarding the opening of registration. You will be prompted to log in to your Dashboard, select a District, and pay the $30 application fee to reserve your spot. Districts are limited to 30 singers and will operate on a first come, first served basis.
2021 Laffont Grand Finals Winner Raven McMillon, soprano, will perform a Concert Recital on Sunday, Nov 17 at 3:00pm, with pianist Bethany Self, at First Congregatioal Church, 10840 Beinhorn, Houston 77024. She will perform a variety of Art Songs, Arias, and Spirituals, and concert admission is free. The public is welcome to join, and there will be a light reception following the performance.
