Casting for "Alcotraz" the immersive prison cocktail experience, now with locations in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Brighton. This casting is specifically for London; seeking London-based actors all ages, genders, ethnicities and backgrounds with excellent improv skills and American accents to join our actor pool as Guards, Wardens, and Inmates as the experience is set to triple in size this year. "Alcotraz" is an improvised show around a narrative structure. The concept of the experience is that guests smuggle in their liquor with the help of the crooked prison guards and hide it from the Warden. Inmates an expert team of mixologists make unique cocktails, while guests become a part of the immersive show lead by the Guards, a Warden, and an Inmate actors.
The Warden: Lead, All Genders, 21+
The Warden is the backbone of the whole story. An intense, intelligent and religious person who believes in rehabilitation rather than punishment. They have a firm and strict side but would rather work with inmates to see them on the path to righteousness. The Warden has an intimidating presence. However, they are also a bit of a bumbling buffoon and show humour. The Warden has it out for Inmate Cassidy and will not stop until corruption in his/her prison is put to an end. Their buffoonery often embarrasses themselves.

Guard Wilmot: Supporting, All Genders, 21+
Guard Wilmot is on the Guests side, walking the line between being a tough boss and a friend. They are being paid by Inmate Cassidy to help smuggle in contraband. Wilmot is overworked, underpaid, and always tired of the bullshit. Guard Wilmot really does like all of the inmates, but is aware that they could ruin the smuggling enterprise if they act up. Wilmot is quick to tell everyone to hide their things. Potentially a rough exterior, but they are a teddy bear on the inside. Wilmot carries around a clipboard that has sign-up sheets for inmate classes (softball, pottery, etc), on the clipboard are also smuggling orders for Cassidy.

The hero. He/she is the ultimate cool. Quick, witty, and everyone’s friend. Cassidy is running an illicit smuggling enterprise behind bars, and has been for awhile now. A smart-ass, especially to the Warden. A prankster. A loveable rogue.

Additional: There are a few different positions and responsibilities available ranging in pay from £13-17 an hour, invoiced as self-employed and paid weekly. Following auditions, successful candidates will be offered positions based on their performance at the audition as well appetite for responsibility.

Rehearsals & Workshops begin at the start of August. in London. Director states: "The experience runs every Tuesday-Sunday. It’s flexible, and we’re looking for actors for both regular shifts and those who want to dip in and out around other acting work."
