BATSU! Chicago (Punishment Improv Dinner Theatre)

Comedy Warrior: Lead, All Genders, 21+
applicant must be a strong improviser with a minimum of 3-5 years professional experience who can thrive in a high-energy environment. A strong stage presence is required. Four "Comedy Warriors" compete in improvised games and challenges. Note: Loser(s) of each round/challenge receive punishments that are painful, humiliating, or both. These include but are not limited to: being hit with a paintball at close range, placing fingers in mousetraps, eating body sushi, being slapped in the face with an oven mitt, have a large rubber band snapped on your belly, and be shocked with a shock collar on the neck. Must be quick-witted and able to improvise pun based jokes - "walks into a bar" jokes, etc). BIPOC/AAPI a plus.

BATSU! Characters: Lead, All Genders, 21+
production states: "Seeking actors who can play multiple characters in the same show. Some of the BATSU! Characters include:

1) Our body sushi model character is shirtless, can dance/move, and has a sexy confidence vibe. He then lays on a table and allows sauce to be spread on his belly and actors (and audience members) to eat sushi off his body.
2) The Pirate must be comfortable with some stage combat - using a mop to hit actors in the face. Must also be able to do a pirate voice.
3) Wrestler by day and exotic dancer at night, Mr. Wrestler is physically fit and must be able to move sexy and confidently and be comfortable with close physical contact with other actors.
4) Mr./Ms. Chicken - All Character actors perform this signature punishment. This role is nonspeaking, wears a costume with full head mask, and must be a strong physical comedian/actor.
5) Frauline - must be able to do an authentic German accent and be comfortable with BDSM simulation.
6) Sake Ninja - our world famous Sake Ninja pours shots of sake to VIP guests and moves through the space as a ninja, hiding, creeping. Dancers highly encouraged to apply.
