About

The Executive Assistant to the President is a critical position providing support to the President of the Kennedy Center, the Office of the President generally and the Kennedy Center Board of Trustees. The Executive Assistant must possess extremely high organizational skills, an ability to track multiple lines of work simultaneously and an exceptional attention to detail. The Executive Assistant must have the ability to work independently and, take initiative to manage the operations of the Office of the President, and the Board of Trustees with an eye to ensuring not just smooth operations, but effective results. The Executive Assistant will perform a variety of administrative support services to the President, acting as liaison between the President and a variety of internal and external visitors, callers, and other constituents. Additionally, the Executive Assistant will act as a coordinator of the operations of the Board of Trustees, together with a team of colleagues from development and the General Counsel’s office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manages the President’s Calendar and works collaboratively with other members of the office to prioritize the President’s time appropriatelyLiasion to the Office of the President for meetings or urgent communicationsCoordinates President’s PR schedule with VP, Public Relations, and ensures appropriate prep time and materials are in placeCoordination with SVP, Development for donor meetings/outreach and ensures appropriate prep time and materials are in placeSupports the President and office of the President with external communications, correspondence, preparation of materials for speaking and other engagements, etc.Primary point of contact for the Board of Trustees; coordinating the scheduling, meeting materials and note taking for board, executive and select committee meetings.Provides administrative support to the members of this office with scheduling, travel logistics, board and staff communicationsGreets all visitors to Office of The President - Ensures food and beverage service as appropriateCoordinates submission of all expenses to financeOther duties as assigned.
