About

Cssting "Windwalkers," a neo-horror focused on the unspooling weight of isolation, grief, familial responsibility, and decision. Storyline: Welcome to Windwater, Colorado, circa 1990. When you enter this territory, you take on the shape of a blurry outline on the horizon, at once eerily familiar and alien in your surroundings to any locals who mark your arrival. So Ma Fiddler describes the phenomenon to Gabriel and Emmett when she and her daughters happen upon them wandering through the dry terrain on a post-college walkabout. When Ma offers lodging to the two friends in exchange for their help around her ranch, Gabriel and Emmett agree. Soon after settling in at the Fiddler ranch, Gabriel quickly realizes something strange is afoot. A recent tragedy within their host's family laces every conversation with tension, and a slew of unsolved atrocities cropping up with increasing frequency in the Windwater community begins to close in on the isolated Fiddler homestead. Will the Fiddlers and their guests evade the threat rattling at their doorknob, or will they open the door and invite it in? Production states: "Windwalkers will approach steadily and with little warning."

Requirements

Ma Fiddler: Lead, Female, 30+
enigmatic, alluring, and brutal all at once. She carries an air of unpredictability that colors her knowledge of her ancestry and homestead’s history with danger. Deeply devoted to the idea of family, she demands loyalty and compliance. Is she a fierce product of her landscape, or is something more sinister at play?
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Required Media: Headshot/Photo

Jon Fiddler: Lead, Female, 21-35
projects the same tough Fiddler exterior as her mother and sister, but she contains a tenderness that winds like a pale thread throughout a dark patchwork quilt. With a proclivity for singing, Jon has abandoned artistic pursuits in favor of responsibility to her family. Jon is at once a protector and a rebel, weighed down by her choices.
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Required Media: Headshot/Photo

Simon Fiddler: Lead, Female, 21-35
perhaps the most visibly affected mold of a life in Windwater, Simon appears as a character from out of some fable in a western story ages old. She does not speak and carries a sickle. Her unsettling presence makes one wonder how much escapes her silent gaze, and what else it has seen. Double cast as LEA, a figure from Gabriel’s past who appears to him in dreams.
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Required Media: Headshot/Photo

Tiffany "Tiff" Fiddler: Lead, Female, 21-40
a human oasis, Tiff is unlike the family she married into in almost every sense. While her mother in law and sisters in law evoke sharp edges, Tiff is something of a velour jumpsuit (think off-brand Juicy Couture). She is pregnant, but that does not stop her from enjoying a Ranch Water every now and again. Her glib and forthright manner can’t completely overshadow her mourning her husband, nor her perceptiveness.
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Required Media: Headshot/Photo

Gabriel Vincent: Lead, Male, 21-35
a tendency to take his archangel namesake too close to heart, Gabriel is a soft spoken and earnest friend. Perhaps he sees himself as a side character in the peripheral of his loved ones’ lives, and thus makes every effort to keep bad things from happening to them. His conflict avoidance and sense of responsibility for others often causes him to tune out his own needs and instincts.
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Required Media: Headshot/Photo

Emmett Fisk: Lead, Male, 21-35
Gabriel’s friend who one might say calls the shots. He cuts a boorish, crude figure as he encourages the pair’s involvement with the Fiddler family, and we get the sense that he’s still living in the college days of fraternal glory. Emmett offers both levity and irritation in his inability to see beyond the tip of his nose.
Ethnicity: All Ethnicities
Required Media: Headshot/Photo

Sheriff Edward Johnson: Lead, Male, 30+

Deputy Richard Monroe: Lead, Male, 21-35
